When To Travel To Zimbabwe

For game viewing, travel to Zimbabwe during the dry winter season (May to October). The mild temperatures and little to no rainfall also pose a much lower malaria risk.

The wet summer, particularly at Victoria Falls, provides the perfect opportunity to experience white-water rafting, river boarding and canoe trips up the Zambezi River. This is also the best time to visit Zimbabwe for birdwatching.

Do I need a visa and passport to travel to Zimbabwe?

A visa is required to enter the country as a tourist. Currently, one can be acquired upon arrival at airports or border crossing in a single or multi-visit format. A valid passport is mandatory and it must be valid for a further six months.

Is Zimbabwe a family-friendly destination?

With so many outdoor activities, beautiful scenery and exotic animals, the whole family can enjoy this destination. Camping and lodge holidays are very popular as well as a few days in Victoria Falls. Zimbabwe offers adventure for all ages.
