Itinerary
After a long flight, you will finally arrive in Zanzibar Airport. You will be greeted by your personal driver and whisked away to your luxurious beachfront resort. As you relax in your ocean-view suite, you can start to feel the romance of your honeymoon setting in. In the afternoon, you will take a stroll through the Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to a rich history and culture. Here, you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the bustling markets, and admire the stunning architecture. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Zanzibari dinner at a local restaurant.
As you end your first day in Zanzibar, you can reflect on the perfect start to your honeymoon. You have arrived in a tropical paradise, and you are surrounded by all the beauty and romance that Zanzibar has to offer.
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and taken on a tour of Stone Town. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a rich history and culture, and you will have the opportunity to visit many of its historical landmarks, including the former slave market, the Sultan’s palace, the House of Wonders, and the Arab Fort. As you walk through the narrow streets of Stone Town, you can imagine the bustling market that once filled the air with the sounds of haggling and the smells of spices. You can also admire the intricate carvings on the doors of the old Arab houses.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat to Changuu Island, also known as Prison Island. This charming island is home to a population of giant Aldabra tortoises, which can grow up to 180 centimeters long and weigh up to 250 kilograms. You can also see some beautiful peacocks on the island. After exploring the island, you can relax on the beach, swim in the clear waters, or snorkel around the island.

In the afternoon, you will drive to Jambiani Village, a traditional fishing village on the east coast of Zanzibar. Here, you will have the chance to visit a local herbalist, learn about traditional medicines and herbs, and visit a local organic plantation. You will also have the opportunity to meet with some of the villagers and learn about their unique culture.

Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island” for a reason, and this tour will give you a chance to see how spices are grown and harvested. You will also learn about the history and uses of different spices.
As you walk through the spice gardens, you will be surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of the tropics. You will see trees laden with fruits and spices, and you will be able to smell the sweet fragrance of the flowers. You will also learn about the traditional methods of harvesting and processing spices.
After the spice tour, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax at the beach or explore the village. In the evening, you will return to your beachfront resort for a romantic dinner under the stars.

The best times to visit Zanzibar are from June to October during the cool, dry months of spring, or January to February when it’s hot and dry. Daytime temperatures remain fairly constant, with maximum temperatures at around 31°C or, very exceptionally, 36 °C celsius.
There are two rainy seasons in Zanzibar. The main rainy season, called the “long rains” is during mid-April and May. The second rainy season, “the short rains” is from November to December.
The Indian Ocean which surrounds Zanzibar is warm enough for swimming all year around, from 25°C in August to 29°C from December to April.
Yes, visitors from most of the countries require visa to enter Zanzibar (and Tanzania in general), and the passport should be valid for six months onwards. Single entry tourist visa can be applied for at Tanzanian embassies, online, Tanzanian High Commissions and at the Tanzanian borders (airports and in some cases when crossing the border by land).
